A celebration to mark the National Day of France or Bastille Day was held at the Novotel Yangon Max in Yangon yesterday, with Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Ohn Maung and wife in attendance.
The event began with the national anthems of Myanmar and France.
Afterwards, Ambassador of France to Myanmar, Mr Christian Lechervy, and Union Minister U Ohn Maung extended greetings.
The Union Minister and wife, the Ambassador of France and wife, and attendees then had commemorative photos taken.
The Ambassador of France and wife then hosted the guests a dinner.
Also present at the event were Ambassadors and chargéd’affaires of foreign embassies in Yangon, representatives of UN agencies and invited guests.—MNA
