The Preservation Unit under the Bagan Division of Archaelolgy and National Museum Department is managing to preserve mural paintings at Monument Number 1081 in ancient Bagan city beginning 16 January, said Deputy Director U Soe Soe Lin. The temple is located between Myinkabar and Thiripyitsayar villages of Bagan, and its outer wall is decorated with cement floral designs, while the inner wall is with the murals.

Over 400 temples in Bagan were painted with the murals. The Monument Number 1081 was affected by an earthquake shock in 2016, with the collapse of some parts of mural paintings.—Ko Htein (Ngathayauk Sub-Tsp) (Translated by Aung Khin)
