The Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee has announced that drinking water distribution charges will be increased in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area starting from 1 July.
The charges will be increased from K70 to K150 for departmental offices and government staff quarters and from K140 to K220 for private houses. However, water distribution charges for residential wards in Pyinmana, hotels, industries, buildings and enterprises associated with foreigners and agricultural use will reportedly remain unchanged. — TWA/MKKS
