Nay Pyi Taw hospital project: Farmers get over K99.5 mln in compensation

The authorities on 19 September disbursed over K99.5 million in compensation for 98.36 acres of farmland, which is being used to implement the Nay Pyi Taw 1,000-bed General Hospital project, at the General Administration Department Office hall in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. The event for the distribution of compensation to farmers was attended by Dr Myo Aung, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council; council members Colonel Min Naung and U Aye Maung Sein; U Phyo Zayar Thaw, Hluttaw representative of the Zabuthiri constituency; Dr Thida Hla, Deputy Director General, Medical Service Department; officials from related departments; and, farmers.


Dr Myo Aung delivered the opening speech at the event, and the Medical Superintendent of the Nay Pyi Taw 1,000-bed hospital explained matters related to compensation. Afterwards, Dr Myo Aung, Dr Thida Hla, and officials disbursed over K99.5 million to 21 farmers, and U Hla Win, a farmer, gave words of thanks to the government.
