Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has congratulated US Republican candidate Donald Trump on what he called "a huge victory" in the US presidential election.

Netanyahu issued a statement on Wednesday after Trump delivered a victory speech in Florida.

Netanyahu said Trump's "historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America."
