A new bridge was inaugurated in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region today to honour the 74th birthday of the State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
At first, Amyotha Hluttaw Representative Daw Ohn Kyi, regional lawmakers U Min Aung and Daw Thin Mya Mya Thin, an official from the Department of Bridge and a town elder unveiled the bridge. Next, concerned officials presented certificates of honour to the employees from the Department of Road. Afterwards, the legislators, Township Administrator U Aung Moe, township level departmental staff, and town elders had a documentary photo taken.
The lawmakers, governmental employees and residents then sprinkled scented water on the stone inscription of the bridge.—IPRD
