New concrete road opens in Hlaingbwe Twsp.

A ceremony to put a rural concrete road into use was held at the entrance of the road in Chantha Myaing Village, No. (1) Myaing Gyi Ngu Special Region, Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State on 24 January. 


At the event, Buddhist Monk from Ywa Oo Monastery delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, the village Administrator U Nyunt Aung and Chairperson of the Community-Based Project Daw Naw Da Mu cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the concrete road.


The road measuring 1400 ft. in length and twelve ft. in width was built by spending K 27.37 million provided by the Community-Based Project and World Bank. The construction work of the concrete road was started on 25 November, 2020 and totally completed on 15 January, 2021. The road will benefit 1155 rural people from Chantha Myaing Village in the township.
