N.Korea launches projectiles

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff say North Korea has launched three projectiles.

It comes just a week after it fired two short-range projectiles toward the Sea of Japan.

 

The military says the projectiles were launched from the eastern city of Sondok on Monday morning.

 

The Japanese government says they appear to have been fired toward the Sea of Japan.

 

It says the projectiles seem to be short-range ballistic missiles.

 

Last Monday North Korea fired two projectiles, marking the first launches by the country so far this year.

 

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff say North Korea has launched at least one projectile.

 

The latest firing comes days after Pyongyang launched two projectiles that neighboring countries said were short-range ballistic missiles.
