THE Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee was set toimplement the youth affairs policy adopted by the governmentwith the aim of turning out youths to become good andable sons for serving the interests of the State.
The central committee will implement the youth affairs mentionedin the youth affairs policy and the national level strategicplan and analyze discussions and decisions from the region andstate committees including the Nay Pyi Taw Council committee.
Moreover, the governmenthas already formed theMyanmar Youth Affairs WorkCommittee with the aim of contributingto tasks of the MyanmarYouth Affairs Central Committeewith momentum andsubmitting the undertakingsof Nay Pyi Taw Council/region/state youth affairs committeesto the central committee.
As such, the governmentset the duties and functions ofthe working committee to coordinateyouth affairs betweenUnion ministries, between theUnion government and Nay PyiTaw Council/region and stategovernments and between socialorganizations and youthsunder the work procedures.
The government emphasizesthe enhancement of physicaland mental qualifications ofyouths to have greater steps forimproving themselves in theiryounghood. The Department ofYouth Affairs under the Ministryof Sports and Youth Affairsarranges for Myanmar youths to grasp chances of joining the friendlyrelations and cooperation among youths of the ASEAN region so asto secure international experiences.
Likewise, arrangements should be made for youths to haveknowledge and skills in all arenas such as language, techniques,sports, debate, culture and international affairs in order to keepabreast of the youths from other global countries. These skills andknowledge will contribute much to Myanmar youths if they unexpectedlymeet with the youths from other countries for various reasonsor official assignments.
The United Nations designates the International Youth Day(IYD) on 12 August 2022 as an opportunity for governments andpeoples to draw attention to youth issues worldwide to a given set ofcultural and legal issues surrounding youth from all over the world.
Now is the time to nurture the Myanmar youths including allyoung people from various areas of the country with firm visionsand pledges to turn out well-versed or qualified youths so as to leadthe nation as well as the whole world in the future. So, all youths ofMyanmar need to try their best in all sectors so as to thumb up inall competitiveness with great victories.
