One died after car accident in Yangon

A car rammed into a tree, leaving one seriously injured in Shwepyitha township, Yangon North District, Yangon region at 4:30 am today.

The accident happened when a car driven by a man hit a tree in the middle of the road near a warehouse that belongs to the township Fishery Department, after the car went out of control. The car was badly damaged in the accident, and a girl named Ma Kyi Tha, 24, in the car sustained serious injuries to her forehead and mouth. She was dead after being hospitalized in Insein public hospital.

The driver fled away from the accident scene, leaving the car. Local police are investigating the runaway driver to bring him to court.—Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)
