A person who is wanted by the police for theft case was arrested in possession of drugs beside Tunbin-Hmawku village road in Sagaing region yesterday morning, according to Mawleik police station.
According to a piece of information regarding illegal drugs, policemen together with witnesses rushed to the scene and found that a person called Myo Thein was selling illegal drugs. The person refused to accept the police search and run away, forcing the authorities to chase after him. The authorities managed to seize him together with 2.1 gram of heroin in his possession.
The police brought drugs charges against him under narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances law.—Mawleik Tharlay
