A ceremony to honour three outstanding athletes by the township National League for Democracy was held at the Royal Rose Hall in Khamti, Sagaing Region this morning.
At the ceremony, the head of district police force Police Lt-Col Myint Thein and the chairperson of the township NLD U Hsae Kho Paung gave congratulatory speeches and an official from the township Sports and Physical Education Department expressed words of gratitude.
Next, the chairman of the township management committee U Khin Maung Hsint and the chairperson of the township maternal and child welfare association Daw Htwe Khin presented certificates of honour and cash awards to the athletes who finished the second place in the inter-state/region Karatedo championship.—Chang Law (Khamti)
