Over 10 ml worth of stimulant tablets seized in Katha

Authorities confiscated narcotic drugs worth K 10.87 million on 6 March evening at the railroad near Minmalut Village, Katha District in Sagaing Region.

 


Acting on a tip-off,  local Anti-drug Squad-6, led by Police Capt Kyaw Min Tun together with witnesses on 6 March evening searched a motorcycle driven by a man identified as Zwe Khaing from Kyunkung Village, Katha Township with Lin Than from Kyathe Village onboard, and discovered 195 WY brand stimulant tablets worth K 975000 and heroin weighing 99 grams worth K 9.9 million from them.

 


The authorities filed charges against the two under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Lu Aung (Ka Tha)
