Over 31626 students head back to schools in Kalay Township

Kalay Township started to open Basic education schools across Kalay Township of Sagaing Region in the morning of June 3 for the academic year of 2024-2025, and a total of 31626 students are studying their causes peacefully, according to the township education officer’s office.

School enrolment day for the 2024- 2025 academic year was set from May 23 to June 2 in the Township in accordance with the slogan "let's send all school-aged children to school”. The students were also provided with text books, exercise books, stationery and uniform free of charge provided by the government.

There are a total of 199 basic education schools including eight sub-primary schools, 42 primary schools, 26 post-primary schools, 52 sub-middle schools, 25 middle schools, 23 sub-high schools and 23 high schools in Kalay Township and now, students are studying their respective lessons at 54 schools out of 199 schools in the Township.—District IPRD
