Overheated safeguard blamed for house fire in Taungoo Twsp.

An overheated refrigerator safeguard was blamed for a house fire that broke out at about 12:55 pm on 6 June from the house of U Kyaw Thu on Tayzar Oo Street in Ward-2 in the Town of Taungoo, Bago Region.

Firemen from the District and the Township Fire Services Departments rushed to the scene to fight the fire in collaboration with local people and auxiliary firefighters with four fire engines and two fire tankers and the blaze was completely extinguished at about 1:36 pm.

The fire completely destroyed a house, causing a loss of K. 4.5 million. Action is being taken against U Kyaw Thu, the owner of the house, for fire negligence at No. (2) Police Station in Taungoo. But no casualties are reported.—District IPRD
