PAPER reading session that marked 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi was held at Shree Bhutnath Mahadev Temple in Yangon yesterday.
At the event, Dr Khin Aye ( Mg Khin Min- Da Nu Phyu), Lae Twin Thar Saw Chit and Min Ko Naing gave talks about the ways of Gandhi.
Then, Country Manager of ABE, Mr Suren Verma read “Mahatma Gandhi and lifelong education”, Head of the Myanmar department Yenangyaung Degree Collage, Prof Dr Than Win “Ideology of the Architect of Peace Gandhi” Gandhi’s ideology, architecture of peace’ and Daw Kathleen Thein (a) Kalpana Kumari of Eingyin May Hindu “ Helmsman of Non-Violence way”
Present at the event were Chairman and members of 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi organizing committee and literature enthusiasts.
The celebration of 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi will be held at boxing gym on Thein Phyu road in Yangon on 28th September at 2 pm.
