Paper readings, discussions continue at Myanmar National Education Conference 2024

The Myanmar National Educa­tion Conference 2024 continued at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning with pa­per reading sessions and parallel discussions for the second day.

 

Union Ministers Dr Char­lie Than, Dr Nyunt Pe, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, direc­tors-general and relevant offi­cials attended the event.

 

Six parallel discussions took place under six titles, and re­source persons read six papers in each group of panel discus­sions with the active participa­tion of attendees.

 

Parallel Session I submit­ted papers on the emergence of youths who love the country, systematic training for youths to raise patriotism, the role of development of the country and basic education, reviews on sup­plementary activities in basic education curriculum, school li­braries development and promo­tion of health sectors at schools.

 

Parallel Session II com­prised paper presentations on qualified, educated persons, critical experts in a practical session, educated young ethnic people with full of Union spir­it and capabilities, experts for environmental conservation, promotion of learning qualities, enhancement of quality of high education sector and leadership and turning out qualified, edu­cated persons with international curriculums.

 

In Parallel Session III, the resource person read out Myan­mar cultural arts development and the role of arts training schools, turning out experts by learning vocational activities to develop agriculture and livestock produce, development of tradi­tional livelihoods, exploration of vocational development that prioritizes manufacturing, fun­damental role of technology and vocational sector for technolo­gies to promote manufacturing with Industry 4.0 and quality as­sessment of vocational training schools.

 

Moreover, Parallel Session IV staged the papers on ensur­ing the quality of teachers, suc­cessive promotion of quality of teachers at border areas, the role of museums and promotion of teachers’ quality, successive promotion of capacity of in-ser­vice teachers, turning out qual­ified faculty members at educa­tion degree colleges and study on the implementation of TCSF for teachers.

 

Similarly, Parallel Session V focused on the establishment of the Academy of Science by researching respective science subjects to ensure the develop­ment of research and innova­tion, comprehensive cooperation based on innovative research on agriculture and livestock breed­ing, development of research leading to innovation, the role of research and innovation on forest and environment for suc­cessive development of the coun­try, strengthening digitalization in Myanmar and development of basic research and applied research sectors.

 

Parallel Session VI em­phasized papers on turning out agricultural experts and skilled persons for livestock breeding and veterinary who guarantee qualification, strengthening quality insurance for higher edu­cation, international recognition on quality of higher education organizations, the emergence of qualified and guaranteed ed­ucation system to promote hu­man resources, ways to solve challenges of quality insurance and assessment of qualified and guaranteed teaching and learn­ing processes.

 

Attendees participated in discussions and gave sugges­tions.

 

Teachers and students from nursing schools, Agricultural In­stitute (Pyinmana), Government Technological Institute (Nay Pyi Taw) and basic education schools visited the education booths of the conference. — MNA/KTZH
