The final match of a monsoon football contest was held in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony at Myoma sports ground in Papun Township, Kayin State on 21 September.
The football competition is organized with the aim of strengthening friendship among youths and adults and producing outstanding players. In the final game, the team representing Ward 3+4 beat the squad representing Hwaymon Village 3-1. The event was held from 24 August to 21 September with the participation of nine teams in a round robin format.
Kayin State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Saw Myint Oo, the tactical commanding commander from local military station, the MPs, and local authorities presented awards and champion trophy to prize winning teams and players.—Kyaw Wunna (Papun)
