Police seized one handmade gun and bullets in a vehicle search in Dimawhso Township, Kayah State on 28 June; the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
Based on an anonymous tipoff, the police squad intercepted a car of a suspect identified as William, 43 years old at a junction on the Dimawhso-Toungoo Road at about 6 p.m. on 28 June. The police confiscated one handmade gun and one magazine containing 30 bullets in the car.
The motorist is being questioned over possession of weapons by the local police.—MOHA
