A total of five acres of poppy fields in Myingwe village-tract in Mindon Township, Magway Region were destroyed on 19 and 20 January.
Officials from Mindon Township Police Force went to Myingwe village on 19 January. They found 0.5 acres of poppy fields twelve miles away from the village and destroyed the poppy fields. They then found 2 acres of poppy field nearby the first finding.
On 20 January, they also found 2.5 acres of poppy fields nearby the village and they also wiped out the poppy fields.
