Kanpatlet, September 18
A ceremony to erect educative posters reading ban on carrying arms was held in front of Myanma Economic Bank office on Khawnusum road in the town of Kanpatlet in Chin State early this morning.
At the event, Chin State Hluttaw MP U Kwe Htan, township administrator U Soe Lwin and township development committee chairman U Hlae Nine and town elder U Mya Maung cut a ribbon to formally open the posters.
The move is aimed at banning local people from carrying arms such as swords, knives, spears, bows and hand-made guns in the town.
