Power substations opened in Hmawby, Htantabin

Yangon region government Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and Regional Hluttaw Speaker U Tin Maung Tun inaugurated the three power substations in Hmawby and Htantabin townships in Yangon Region on 3 November morning.


The two 33/11 kV 5 MVA power substations are located in Hmawby Township, that were constructed by Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation. The chief minister and party then reached 33/11 KV 5 MVA substations (Tatthit Kyun) in Htantabin Township, Yangon Region at 11 am and formally opened the power substation. After completion of the projects under the National Electrification Plan, a total of 1,425,636 households (85.91 per cent) in Yangon Region will be electrified up to 2020-2021 Financial Year.—Myint Maung
