State authorities inspected preparedness for school reopening in the town of Leiktho, Thandaunggyi Township, Kayin State yesterday.
On the occasion, State Education Officer U Ngwe Soe, a representative of State Hluttaw and Township Education Officer Daw Aye Thet Maw went to high schools in Leiktho, Yado, Thaukyarkhat, Thanmoetaung and inspected the preventative measures against COVID-19 undertaken in the schools.
Next, the officials met with teachers and urged them to stress the safe environment of the students and to follow the instructions guided by the Ministry of Health and Sports. They then provided masks to the teachers.
Afterwards, the officials also oversaw the construction site of new school building in Thanmoetaung BEHS and urged the responsible people from the construction company to meet the set standard within the target date.
