A ceremony to upgrade a basic education primary school into a Basic Education Post Primary School was held in Kaunghmoo village, Mongphyat Township, Shan State (East) this morning.
The ceremony was formally opened by Township Administrator U Thet Lwin, Head of the school U Maung Tun and Village Administrator U Say Hla. Next, Township Administrator gave remarks and Head of the school clarified the history of the school.
The school stood as a self-reliant one from 1994 to 1996 and it had been an affiliated Primary School from 1996 to 1999. Then it had a status of basic primary school from 1999 to 2019. In 2019-2020 academic year, it has become a Basic Education Post Primary School. Now, a total of 76 students are studying in the school.
