Kyauktada, 11 September
In commemoration of the International Day of Democracy, public talk and awards ceremony, organized by the township Information and Public Relations Department, was held at Alin Khitme Library of IPRD in Kyauktada, Yangon yesterday.
First of all, the region Hluttaw Representative Daw Hla San delivered an opening speech. Then, the region Hluttaw Representative Daw Kyipya shared knowledge about International Day of Democracy and discussed International Day of Democracy with students.
Afterwards, a staff officer from IPRD spoke words of thanks. This was followed by the presentation of awards to students who won the prizes in essay writing and poem competitions.
Altogether 20 students competed in the competitions, it is learnt.
