PYIDAUNGSU Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe met chairpersons and sec­retaries of the committees formed under the Amyo­tha Hluttaw yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, he stated that committee members should not re­gard their responsibilities as merely routine duties but should carry them out with genuine goodwill, unwavering diligence and dedication, always keep­ing the interests of the people as their foremost priority. He stressed that the committees should co­operate closely with one another, demonstrate the important role of com­mittees through practical actions, and earn a place in history as committees that effectively represent and fulfil the desires of the people. He also urged committee members to perform their respective duties not simply as an obligation but with com­mitment and sincerity to achieve successful out­comes. The participants then reported on the form­ing of committees, opera­tions and work plans.

The Speaker conclud­ed the meeting and cor­dially met with the partici­pants. Also present at the meeting were Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker Jeng Phang Naw Taung, committees chairpersons, secretaries, members and relevant officials of the Amyotha Hluttaw Office. — MNA/KTZH
