The second coordination meeting for 2019 was held yesterday at the Pyithu Hluttaw in Nay Pyi Taw, attended by the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker, committee chairmen and secretaries. In his opening speech Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat said that the Second Pyithu Hluttaw’s 13th regular session was of vital importance. The National Planning Bill, the Union Budget Bill for 2019-2020 Fiscal Year, Bill and the Union Tax Bill would be scrutinized for approval of the Pyithu Hluttaw. In addition to this, the amendment process of the 2008 Constitution would be carried out. And that the performance of the committees was of crucial importance to accelerate the works of Hluttaw. In doing so, visions and decisions of the Hluttaw would be more beneficial to the people. Thus the committee chairmen and secretaries were urged to make a frank discussion in case the necessities arose.
Furthermore, chairmen of the committees and secretaries attending the meeting discussed and clarified the committee wise bills, complaint letters, findings of the reports and suggestions made.
Committee wise works to be conducted were coordinated as required by Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat who then delivered a closing speech before the meeting came to a close. — MNA (Translated by Win Ko Ko Aung)
