Tannintharyi, 12 June
Relief items were provided to fire victims in Kanto Village, Taninthary Township, Tanintharyi Region yesterday.
Staff led by staff officer U Kyaw San from the township Department of Disaster Management and the township Red Cross Society paid a domiciliary visit to provide cash aid to the home of fire victims and handed over K 12300 including K 1500 for building materials, K 6300 for rice to fire victims in the village.
The fire broke out in the house of U Htein Lin in Kanto Village on 9 June and partially damaged the house. The fire was thought to have started from an ember left in the house of U Htein Lin. But no casualties were reported.
