Kyaukgyi, 7 August
A ceremony to donate relief items to people whose home were damaged by flood was held at Mogok Dhamayone in Kyaukgyi, Taungoo District, Bago Region yesterday.
Colonel Hla Myo Shwe, the region Security and Border Affairs Minister and U Kyaw Kyaw, deputy Director of Myanmar Fire Service Department led by Major General Myo Win, Commander of Southern Command provided relief items to flood victims in Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region.
Major General Myo Win and party met with flood victims in the Township and provided medical check-up, rice, noodles, drinking water, onions, potatoes and cooking oil to them. The relief items were accepted by relevant village administrators.
Altogether 200 people including officials from Southern Command and the Township GAD, village administrators and flood victims attended the donation ceremony, it is learnt.
