Rice granary burned to ashes in house fire in Wetlet Twsp

A house and a rice granary were burnt to ashes in a house fire in Mauk Kyoe Village, Wetlet Township in Sagaing Region.
    

Following information about the fire, local firefighters and auxiliary firemen rushed to the scene of fire in Mauk Kyoe Village at about 12 p.m. on July 18. They in cooperation with policemen and local people took about 40 minutes to completely extinguish the fire with the use of two fire engines and one water tanker. The fire is attributed to have started to an overheated plug in the kitchen.
    

The fire destroyed one house, one rice granary with about 100 baskets of paddy, but no one was injured in the incident. The house owner identified as U Tun Tun, 45, has been taken action over fire negligence by the local police.—Moe Thauk (Shwebo)
