Rural health center opens in Thanphyu Zayat Tsp

Thanphyu Zayat, January 20

A ceremony to hand over a rural health center was held in combination of the opening ceremony in WelKawa village, Thanphyu Zayat township in Myanmar’s southernmost region of Taninthayi yesterday morning.

The health center was constructed by donor U Win and Daw San who live in Panga village in the same township and donated to Health Department under the ministry of Health and Sports.

Present at the ceremony were acting township administrator U Myo Naing, Dr. Min Thant Zin from the township Health Department, departmental personnel, donors and village people. First, the acting township administrator, Dr. Min Thant Zin, Sayadaw Nyana and Sayadaw Thiri Dhamma, acting on behalf of donors, cut a ribbon to open the health center.

Then, donors handed over documents related to the health center and a health staff housing, which were built at a cost of K 28.5 million, to Dr. Min Thant Zin, head of the township people’s hospital.—Kyaw Win (Thanphyu Zayat)
