The Russian delegation led by Mr Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, visited Ngwehsaung Beach and proceeded to Chithumya (Lovers) Island to enjoy the picturesque views yesterday morning.

Then, the Russian delegation attended the tree-planting ceremony marking Russia-Myanmar friendship at the entrance to Ngwehsaung town and left for Yangon by flight. They were seen off at the Pathein Airport by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, regional ministers, officials and students. — MNA/KTZH
