Over 54000 local and foreign travellers visited Sagaing Region from January to March this year, according to official statistics provided by Sagaing Region’s Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (DOHT).
The travellers entered Sagaing Region this year to enjoy well-known destinations, beautiful sceneries, and a diverse range of cultures and traditions of local tribes in Monywa, Sagaing, Shwebo, Katha, Kalay, Hkamti in Sagaing Region.
The number of foreign tourists who visited Sagaing Region has reached 15576 in January, 14597 in February and 13510 in March, totaling 43683. The number of domestic tourists who visited Sagaing Region has also reached 3836 in January, 3564 in February and 3270 in March, totaling 10670.—Win Oo(Yatyataing)
