A ceremony to open and hand over a new school hall took place at a basic education high school in Ywathayar Village, Minbu Township in Magway Region this morning.
The hall named “Shwe Pwint Phyu” was formally opened by Chief Minister of Magway Region Dr. Aung Moe Nyo, Regional Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Khin Maung Aye, Regional Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population U Myint Swe, Regional Minister for Immigration and Human Resource Development U Myint AUng, Regional Advocate-General U San Lin, Regional MP UKyaw Swan Yi and Regional Education Officer Daw Khin Than Oo by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.
The speech by the regional chief minister followed and the regional minister for social affairs clarified matters relating to educational development. On behalf of the well-wishers, Senior Assistant Teacher Daw Aye Aye Mon explained the purpose of donation and the regional education officer expressed words of gratitude. Next, the regional chief minister presented a certificate of honour to the donor family and the regional legislator did the same.
Next, the donor family handed over documents relating to the hall to the Department of Education through the deputy township education officer. The one-storey facility is 84 ft. long, 42 ft. wide and was built with Ks. 25 million.—Aung Myo Myat (IPRD)
