School supplies removed as water level of Ayeyawady River on the rise

Due to the increase in the water level of Ayeyawady River, water entered into No.2 Basic Education Primary School in Khuntha Ward, Bhamo, Kachin State. Consequently, school supplies were removed to the upper floor of the school building.

 

Military personnel from Bhamo Battalion and officials from Fire Services Department took part in the relocation of school supplies. According to the Department of Meterology and Hydrology’s observations today, the water level of Ayeyawady River in Bhmao, Kachin State reached 1052 centimeters and its danger level is 1150 centimeters.
