Second Amoytha Hluttaw’s 14th regular session holds second day meeting

The 14th regular session of the Second Amyotha Hluttaw held its second-day meeting at the Amyotha Hluttaw meeting hall yesterday morning, where asterisk-marked questions were answered and a bill discussed by five Hluttaw representatives.
Asterisk-marked questions
In the asterisk-marked question session, a question raised by U Bwe Khane of Chin State constituency 3 on a plan to construct a new market building in Chin State Thantlang Town was answered by Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Nyi Tun.
A question raised by U Tun Tun Oo of Mandalay Region constituency 2 on reducing numbers of cases of avoiding warrants was answered by Justice U Myo Tint of the Supreme Court of the Union while questions raised by Daw Thiri Yadana, Mon State constituency 12 on a type of Master Plan set up to provide water for Mon State Bilin Township from purifying Bilin River water, U Khin Myo Win of Taninthayi Region constituency 12 on legal action to be taken against palm oil plantation companies conducting illegal plantation of palm oils in Taninthayi Region Kawthoung District and U Kyaw Than of Rakhine State constituency 10 on delays in obtaining permission to conduct agriculture works on vacant, fallow and virgin lands were answered and explained by Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw.
Bill amending Farmland Law
Following the asterisk-marked question session, bill amending Farmland Law approved and sent by Amyotha Hluttaw returned with amendment by Pyithu Hluttaw was discussed by Naw Chris Tun @ Dr. Arkar Moe of Kayin State constituency 7, U Hla San of Magway Region constituency 1, U Ba Myo Thein of Yangon Region constituency 5, U Soe Win of Rakhine State constituency12 and U Khin Win of Magway Region constituency 2.
