Second Amyotha Hluttaw’s 13th regular session holds first day meeting

The 13th regular session of Second Amyotha Hluttaw held its first-day meeting at the Amyotha Hluttaw meeting hall yesterday morning.


At the meeting a new Tatmadaw Amyotha Hluttaw representative was sworn-in, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker delivers a welcoming speech, five asterisk marked questions on construction sector were raised and answered and a bill discussed.

After Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker delivers a welcoming speech and a new Tatmadaw Amyotha Hluttaw representative was sworn-in, asterisk marked question and answer session was held.


At the asterisk marked questions and answer session U Hla Oo of Sagaing Region constituency 4, U Khun Thein Pe of Shan State constituency 9, U Bwe Khane of Chin State constituency 3, U Baw Rae Soe Wai of Kayah State constituency 3 and U Sai San Aung of Shan State constituency 12 raised questions on upgrading a village road in Monywa District, Sagaing Region, constructing bridges and box culverts on a village road and upgrading another road in Hsihseng Township, Shan State, plan to construct a bridge over a river on the border of India and Myanmar in Thantlang Township, Chin State, plan to upgrade Loikaw-Dimawhso-Prusho road section and plan to construct a bridge over Namma Creek in Wa Self-Administered Division Hopan District, Shan State.


The questions were answered by Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw.


Discussion of Education Research, Project and Training bill


After the asterisk-marked question and answer session U Win Myint of Magway Region constituency 8 discussed the Education Research, Project and Training bill. The second-day meeting of the Second Amyotha Hluttaw’s 13th regular session will be continued on Thursday 18 July 2019. — MNA
