Second-day friendly matches continue to select Myanmar team players

The second day of the 2022 AFF Cup match to select players for the Myanmar national team con­tinued yesterday morning and evening at Thuwunna Stadium.

 

In the morning match, the national red team and the na­tional yellow team drew two goals each.

 

The two teams had lost victories on the first day of the ftune-up match, their match ended in a draw with mutual goals.

 

Both teams competed with some changes to their starting lineups, and even at the begin­ning of the match, there were mutual goals.

 

In the fourth minute, the yellow team gained a goal which was scored by Naing Zin Htet, and two minutes later, defender Win Moe Kyaw headed the cor­ner kick and scored the equaliz­er for the red team.

 

In the first half, both teams tied 1-1, and in the 61st minute, Wai Lin Aung scored the leading goal for the red team.

 

In the 84th minute, the yellow team equalized and Khin Kyaw Win scored.

 

In the evening match, the national green team defeated the U-22 team by 4-2.

 

The green team, which in­cludes most of the current in­ternational-level players, also defeated the U-22 team and won two games in a row.

 

In the 8th minute, Yan Kyaw Htwe scored the first goal for the green team, and in the 19th minute, Okka Naing equalized for the U-22 team. The U-22 team was able to play the green team back-to-back after the equalizer and ended the first half with one goal each.

However, the U-22 team lost because they conceded three goals between the 56th and 71st minutes.

 

The goals for the green team were scored by Win Na­ing Tun via penalty kick at 56 minutes, Myat Kaung Khant via free kick at 60 minutes and Aee Soe scored the fourth or winning goal at 71 minutes.

 

The second goal for the U-22 team was scored by Zaw Win Thein via a penalty kick in the 83rd minute.

 

The remaining friendly matches will continue on 23 No­vember and Red Team will take on the U-22 team at 8 am, and Green Team will play against the yellow team at 4 pm.— Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
