Self-reliant rural road opens to public in Kyaukse

An inauguration of a rural road which was built on a self-reliant basis was held in Thintaung Village, Kyaukse Township in Mandalay Region on 22 December.
    

On the occasion, the village administrator, chairman of the road construction committee and committee members formally opened the concrete facility. Members of the Sangha led by abbot of the village monastery also recited the “Paritta”.
    

The new rural road is 1100 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and 6 inch in thick and was built at a cost of Ks. 21 million donated by local people.—Thet Maung (Kyaukse)
