A ceremony to wrap up a refresher course for new tutors and demonstrators was held at Kanbawza Hall of Lashio University, Shan State(North) at about 12:30 pm on 15 December.
CM of Shan State Dr. Kyaw Tun attended the ceremony and delivered an opening address and gave words of encouragement to the fresher. Then, Dr. Kyaw Tun elaborated matters relating to the development of higher Education in Shan State.
This was followed by the presentation of Ks. 1 million to Lashio University by Dr. Kyaw Tun. Cash aid was accepted by Dr. Nay Win, rector of Lashio University.
Afterwards, officials led by Dr. Kyaw Tun looked round into the progress of construction of Convocation Hall and gave necessary instructions. A total of 51 people including Shan State CM Dr. Kyaw Tun, the State Advocate General, rector of Lashio University, new tutors and demonstrators attended the concluding ceremony of the refresher course.—Soe Nyunt Shwe (State IPRD)
