Slight earthquake jolts Khamti Twsp

No reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake which was recorded early this morning, according to a source from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about five miles north-northeast of Khamti, Sagaing Region. It was recorded at 1:26 a.m. today at a latitude of 26.06°N, and longitude of 95.73°E, with a depth of 97 kilometers and about 115 miles west-northwest of the Myitkyina seismological observatory, the DMH announced.
