No reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake which was recorded this morning, according to a source from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar jolted about 17 miles north of Kyaukphyu, Rakhine state. It was recorded at 6:19 a.m. today at a latitude of 19.68°N, and longitude of 93.55°E, with a depth of 20 kilometers and about 53 miles southeast of the Sittwe seismological observatory, the DMH announced.
