A ceremony to provide social pension to elderly people over 85 years old in Thongwa Township, Yangon Southern District was held at the Township General Administration Department on December 16.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Township Administration Council and an official from the Township Department of Social Welfare provided social pension to 802 elderly people via respective village administrators.
The Township Department of Social Welfare provides social pension to the elderly over 85 years old in the township at a rate of K 30,000 per person for three months. The ward and village administrators will make a domiciliary visit to provide social pension to the elderly in the township.
