Some wards and villages in Yebyu Township, Taninthayi River were inundated by floodwaters from the Dawei River as a consequence of incessant heavy rains since early this month.
Some houses and government offices in low-lying area in Ward-4 were submerged by flooding. No casualties were reported in flooded villages of Kanpauk, Ohnpinkwin, Phoungtaw, Natsingyi, Yange and Hteingyi following severe rains hit the township for many days.—IPRD
