State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received Azerbaijani Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Qaley Allahverdiyev at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the call, they exchanged views on the matters relating to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Myanmar and Azerbaijan and the participation of Myanmar at the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 25 to 26 October 2019. The visiting Ambassador handed over the invitation letters to the State Counsellor to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Summit.
Also present at the meeting were Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and the officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.—MNA
