Stolen motorbike with GPS tracker recovered in Ngaphe

A stolen motorcycle equipped with a GPS device was recovered from a thief within hours, according to a source from a local police station in Ngaphe Township, Magway Region.

 


A man named Than Zaw Oo, 42 years from Salin who was staying at a mess belonging to the Irrigation Department in Ngaphe Township informed the police that his motorcycle which is installed with a GPS system and manufactured in Thailand was stolen 9 March morning. According to the motorcycle owner, the GPS data showed the motorbike was spotted near Kyipin Anauk Village in Minbu Township.

 


The police together with the motorbike owner followed the suspect based on the data they got from the motorcycle’s GPS device. They found a man identified as Kyaw Aung, 30 years of age along with the stolen motorcycle at his brother house. Action has been taken against the motorbike thief in accordance with the law by the local police station.—Kyaw Zeya
