A ceremony to present cash assistance to those affected by strong winds was held at the auditorium of the Township General Administration Department in Paukkaung Township of Bago Region yesterday.
On the occasion, Daw Tin Tin Cho, Deputy Director of Pyay District Disaster Management Department explained matters relating to the cash assistance. This was followed by the presentation of cash assistance and relief items to victims of strong winds.
Under this cash assistance and relief supply grogram, a total of 153 storm victims from the Township received a total of K 2.8 million and relief items. Also present on the occasion were Chairman of the Township Administration body U Phyo Thu Maung, member-1 of the Township Administration Body Major Yu Naung and Deputy Director of Pyay Disaster Management Department Daw Tin Tin Cho.—Than Tun Aung(IPRD)
