Mohnyin, 11 August
Employees from the Department of Disaster Management under the Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided cash and kind to storm victims in Ohnsanhsai Village, Mohnyin Township in Kachin State on 10 August.
They presented cash amounting to more than Ks. 1.45 million and relief items to storm victims. The cash and kind presentation event was held at a religious building in the village and present on the occasion were departmental staff, village officials and village elders.
Two houses were collapsed and 17 houses flipped over by the gusty winds that swept through the area on 5 August.—Kyaw Kyaw Htwe (Mohnyin)
