An event to donate relief supplies to storm victims was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Wawlaymyaing Town, Kayin State on 7 May.
On the occasion, 11 houses, one monastery, and one church from some villages in the area were damaged by gusty winds that recently swept through the area. Officials from the Department of Disaster Management presented over Ks. 1.35 million for purchasing construction materials to the storm victims.—Naing Myo Thin (IPRD)
