Tachilek seize drugs, percussion lock firearms in house raid

A suspicious drug smuggler was caught with possession of drugs and homemade guns in Tachilek Township, Shan State on 7 July.

An anti-drug squad from Tachilek Myoma Police Station raided the house of a drug suspect identified as U Law Dar from Phatimagon Village at about 11 a.m. on 7 July based on an anonymous tipoff. They discovered 26 stimulant tablets weighing 2.34 grams, 60 grams of opium, paraphernalia and two percussion lock firearms inside the house.

Action has been taken against the suspected drug trafficker over possession of drugs and weapons by the local police.—Myint Mo (Tachilek)
